I’m the Ground, You the Tree
Elham Azimi was born in 1991 in Tehran. She has completed her Bachelor and Master degree in the field of painting in Al-Zahra University, and the field of her research has been landscape and face painting in contemporary Iranian painting. Azimi creates original and beautiful works by using the dried color collage technique with her innovation and artistic perspective, focusing on her research field and new compositions.
The most obvious feature of nature can be considered as change and continuity, these two factors that are constantly flowing under the skin of nature and therefore, man indicate that the connection between man and nature do not break apart and they always perceive and receive each other. Over the past two years, with the beginning of the epidemic, a rift has emerged in this connection that reminds us of the importance of being present, thinking, and reviving nature.
In regards of what has been said, this exhibition can be considered a change in the face of nature, a nature without the presence of man, whose layers are being restored and regenerated and displays such amazing conversion. The entanglement of colored layers is the very presence in nature, contemplating about it and living in the heart of this always changing world.
