Huraxs Series

In the 'HURAXS' collection, Mohsen Karami delves into intuitive perceptions and understandings, connecting with both pre-Islamic Mazdean literature and post-Islamic philosophy. The name of this collection is linked to its Avestan etymology, where 'ho' means 'good' and 'raksh' means the shining rays of the sun, among other things. In Karami's work, words remain in a halo of unformed meaning, essentially in a state of primary spontaneity and suspended in a realm that has not yet adopted the codified and symbolic language of contemporary conventions. In addition to the mentioned points, Karami's study and deep exploration of the history of Persian calligraphy, Iranian scripts, and the connection between language and script have significantly influenced the meaning of his works. However, in terms of form, his works have deep connections to Eastern, Far Eastern, and Iranian forms, and many of the textual and newly discovered calligraphic works from Iranian languages also belong to these regions."
