Graffiti Series
The "Graffiti" series is the collision site of two of Sahabi’s acts: the personal act and the social act. In the personal act he is a rebel who uses the apparent form of a wall (on canvas) to revolt against himself and the ruling system of the canvas. The artist’s canvas extends to city walls that are covered in “Death to Sahabi” slogans, and the social aspects of the acts spread out from this area. Colors are placed on the walls and we no longer face a cold and quiet surface but encounter as many actions as there are walls. The form of the walls intends to express Sahabi’s worldview, which combined with a special and delicate sense of humor and by using poems, slangs, and proverbs, puts the concept of beauty in parentheses and questions it.
