Flower Series

In his “Flower” collection Mehdi Sahabi goes beyond mere representation to a more abstract expression in which the impression created in the eye becomes a sensory force that evokes other concepts regarding flowers. Even in his first sketches the artist pursues his own formalist approach. His language of flowers is the expression of the connection between lines and signs; signs that define meaning only by juxtaposing and contrasting colors and lines.
