Haghi started his professional activity in the field of theater photography, his first exhibition was a collection of his photos from various theater plays and performances. In fact, his tendency towards performance and the issue of the body's presence in the production of meaning started from theater and performance, and continuously, this artist's focus is on the emergence of the body in the contemporary artistic discourse. For him, the body is the place where all human perceptions from the outside reside, hence, he studies various media so he can acknowledge the different perceptions through the body and uses his knowledge to express himself. He has participated in more than three international art fairs and his photos with the concept of body expression, performance and execution, landscape, etc have been published in prestigious domestic and foreign magazines. What is evident in his works during more than 12 years of artistic activity are such concepts: body and meaning, the presence of the body in the landscape and nature, the concept of cultured nature and vice versa, performance and space, place and performance, contemporary theater and theater photography as a work of art which can be presented in an exhibition. It should be noted that, apart from photography and printing, Babak Haghi is also active in teaching photography, theater photography and alternative prints and is responsible for teaching these media in various institutions. His concern in the field of photography education also includes the relationship between language and photo, photo printing and its different methods, and the relationship between photographers and galleries. It should be noted that this artist's special interest in modern and contemporary theater has created a special view and approach to performance.
