The Unique Mysteriousness of Mehdi Sahabis Painting on the Semio-Semantics of the Effect of Art

From the point of view of semio-semantics, art is the effect of meaning; The effect of art or artistic perception is an aesthetic, emotional and cognitive event that is present in all works of art. This effect is the result of a process that we can reproduce with the name of artisticization. Hence, it is necessary to determine the limits of the subject (the work) that creates an effect (art) with a process called (artisticization). Paintings are not restricted to pictures. Rather, it is a semio-semantic issue, a hybrid consisted of process, carriers, substances, energies and anything that contributes a social and cultural presence to the artwork.

The points mentioned, thoroughly apply to Mehdi Sahabi's works; In this article, it is not our intention to examine the totality of what is obtained from his works, our aim is to limit ourselves to one basic matter: an artwork for Sahabi is always a series, which is his way of making and creating a work of art. Therefore, we will examine these contents in his painting series: 1) the special tensions of "new illustrations" and expressions of intervisuality application; 2) Examining homogeneities and heterogeneities that occur in series and multi-linear expressions; 3) The work of painting layers and action-oriented levels and experimentation of the dynamics of imaginary matter.

The process of artisticization is the process of intuition in production as well as interpretation. (First level of painting > Composition > interpretation of the essence of the artwork > Imagination).
